How Asaadharan Begin

Finding spark
in helping Children

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

Our Story

Impact is a collection of stories leading toward it

Since 2016, we’ve been committed to creating meaningful educational opportunities for underprivileged children. Starting with an Evening Learning Centre for children of construction workers, we’ve expanded our reach through innovative programs like the Student Teacher Training Program, Special Training Program, and the Asaadharan Fellowship. These initiatives, along with extensive teacher training, bridge learning gaps, foster leadership, and support community-driven education in government schools. Today, our mission is to ensure that every child completes primary education, opening doors to higher learning and a brighter future. Join us as we work to make quality education accessible to all.

2016

Started teaching construction site labourers’ children at a bus stand & later moved to our Evening Learning Centre to impart activity-based education to children.

2019

Started intervention in one of the government schools of Surat with Student Teacher Training Program (STTP) focusing on peer learning and student leadership in schools

Children Reached: 600

2020

During lockdown we prepared & accelerated program for children who would miss on education and trained Special Training Program (STP) teachers on that, who taught out of school children. Also started Buddy Program focusing on learning through peers.

2021

Started pilot of Asaadharan Fellowship Program – where we take people from the community and send them to the selected government schools to bridge the learning gaps in children and provide value-based education.

2023

Started our first ever Asaadharan Fellowship Program in the three selected government schools of Surat.
We also did training of government school teachers through local government bodies on effective classroom techniques to manage class

Present

Wovrking towards our depth model through Asaadharan Fellowship with an aim to reach all children & help them complete their primary education so that they can continue with higher education in public or private schools.

Our Philosophy

We work with a simple philosophy that learning has to be fun, hands-on and value-based in order to make a longer impact on a child. We understand that every child is unique and needs a different teaching method to reach his/her greatest potential. Hence, we focus on creative pedagogy and experiential learning to give a child the best holistic foundational education.
